Yes, is the short answer,but just as cigarettes come with a health warning so should the Watchtower product. They should have to carry the message, on every magazine and book ,"THIS INFORMATION CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR WEALTH ,MIND AND BODY , AS ALL OUR PREDICTIONS ARE FALSE."

When I was a boy there used to be a newpaper published called Billy's Weekly Liar. The difference with that and the Watchtower was that one was very funny and the other ,well you know what that's like.

Do you think for one minute that if the JWs' were ever in power (as if )that they would allow any other voice to be heard. The latest rumour I heard was that the dead annointed are going to come back at armageddon and help invisibly with the slaying.Correct me if I'm wrong; Can it be right for them to win rights which would be denied to their opposers.

It's one thing to have healthy debate but to go around saying, if you don't enter our ark you are dead meat and so are your toddlers and babies if you do not join us. This is in effect what they preach from door to door.

Just in case I survive .What is the best way of getting through Glasgow with a caravan.Do I head for the Erskine bridge or carry on up towards Cumbernaud ? I will be heading towards Balmaha and Loch lomond's eastern shore.

Welcome,welcome,a thousand times welcome.If we were in the same room we would shake you by the hand and give you a big hug and tell you that everyone is here to help you with what ever question you have.There are a lot of friends here who I am sure can answer your questions better than I can but for what it's worth, I walked away from the lie over forty years ago when I was about your age and guess what , never regreted it once.Don't spend your life following a false hope of mumbo jumbo or one day when the scales fall from your eyes you may say "my God what have I believed in all these years that as caused me so much misery."Instead of thanking him for a deliverance from false promises and lies and giving you what you were meant for in the first place your heart will be full of regret.

It is only when you have put distance between yourself and the borg that you realise just how foolish it all is.

What did you think of "new light"?

you kind of get to a point where you know all the answers when you are a jw.

you don't really have to research much more because its the same stuff they present over and over again.

"jehovah's reminders" but i kind of looked forward to new light.

Hi there,

So glad you brought this up.

Before I became the The Count of Monte Cristo I lived in a deep ,deep,very deep and dark dungeon it was full of smoke and mirrors.I was kept in my prison cell by the keepers of the watchtower . They kept feeding me and because it was they who kept me in prison naturally I had to digest what they gave me.Why was I kept chained in the dark? Answer, because of lies.Somebody kept telling very big lies ,various lies ,some of which which were similar to the lies told to the king in the story of the emperor's new clothes some lies were meant to be very frightning but were only as scary as the man behind the screen inThe Wizard of OZ. Some lies told me that I was going to die some lies told me I was going to live.However the truth was more scary when at that point I realised that if I carried on with this mumbo jumbo I would go completely insane and might end up thinking I was a French man locked up on an island near Marsielles.

And so to cut a long story short I made a very fortunate escape because something helped me see my way out through the smoke and mirrors and I fled to freedom.It was then in clean,beautiful,fresh and gleaming light that I realized a real truth which is ,if there is such a thing as present truth then there must be past truth and future truth -which is a stupid argument .If something is true in the past then it must always be the truth now and forever more .Or else it wasn't true in the first place which accounts for most of the watchtower teachings.Are you following me so far?
